1 ℓ = 1000 ml.

3 ℓ = 3000 ml, and 3000 + 250 = 3250 ml.
A solid is built from 1 cm cubes, 3 along, 2 across and 2 high. How many cubes are used?
Answer: 12
3 × 2 × 2 = 12 cubes.
A jug holds 2 ℓ of water. 650 ml is poured into a glass. How much water is left in the jug?
Answer: 1 ℓ 350 ml
2000 ml − 650 ml = 1350 ml, which is 1 ℓ 350 ml.
Which container holds the most?
Answer: 2 ℓ 500 ml
In millilitres they are 900, 1500, 2050 and 2500, so 2 ℓ 500 ml holds the most.
A bottle holds 1 ℓ 500 ml of juice. It is poured equally into 6 glasses. How much juice is in each glass?
